I have the old GOTY Edition that I purchased a while back. I played through the OC and enjoyed it. I played about an hour or two into the first expansion pack and quit (I cant recall specifically the reason I stopped playing, it was years ago).

A few questions for you:

IIRC, if I installed the first expansion pack, I would automatically start the first expansion pack's story (IE get attacked when resting) even if I had not finished the main quest in the OC. Was this a bug (and if it was, was it fixed?) or am I not remembering it correct? I liked the new journal that installing the expansion adopted.

How was the first and second expansion pack in comparison to the OC? Better story (no spoilers please)? Better dialog / character interaction? (or worse)

Worth my time to add the two expansion packs to my que of games (and dig it out of the closet) to play through once I have finished MotB?

I liked the 1st Exp. storyline a lot, but I also played it with my main character, whose background was perfectly atuned to that storyline. 2nd Exp was difficult for me to finish with a non-Nevarine. Each expansion added some nice content. Didn't ever finish the last one before crashing my comp and misplacing most of my save games. I thought the storytelling as a whole was better in TES3. Liked them all much better than Oblivion, where I am just checking out the mods available now. Quit the dumb O after about two months, as did most of my gamer friends.

Yes. It was not a bug.

I played through Tribunal seven times.
Bloodmoon 4 Times

Loved them both. Well worth the time and investment. And the story is great to boot, that just my opinion tho.

I never played through all of either expansion, but they're both very good. Bloodmoon is actually sitting on top of my CD rack in stylish showcase position beside X2. Makes me want to play them again.

Both expansions were excellent. I liked Tribunal a lot more than Bloodmoon due to the change in scenary (kinda) and pace. The story and quests seemed more interesting and intimate too.

Bloodmoon is also amazing, but not as good as Tribunal in my opinion. The scale is much grander, quests are darker (werewolf, duh?) and there's more to do. It's much closer to Morrowind though as there's an entirely new island to explore instead of a small 'city'.

If you ask me, both of these expansions kicked the crap out of Shivering Isles.

Agreed!..

Side Note :I used the widescreen hack ,which even works on Vista x64, no problems to report.

WS info hack here.

I really enjoyed both expansions; but I did prefer Bloodmoon over Tribunal, just because Tribunal felt too constricted. I didn't like being stuck in a walled city with little to do. It was still fun to play through...

but with Bloodmoon, being that I live in Alaska, I felt very at home playing that expansion because of the snow, mountains, bears, etc... it's very similar to what I see out my window every morning and I just loved it. I loved the frozen lakes and icy cliffs and the wooden huts. I felt very much at home in that game and must have spent countless hours wandering around, not even doing the quest.
