Elaborate bomb plot foiled in Florida

A podiatrist who allegedly wanted to destroy mosques and other Muslim centers had so many explosives in his home that he could have accidentally destroyed the 200-unit townhouse complex where he lives, police said.

Police said they also found an 11-point plan for attacking an Islam education center that outlined details including what Goldstein would wear, how he could get rid of fingerprints and how he would engage in hand-to-hand combat if necessary.
"Set timers for approximately 15-20 minutes to allow for enough time to get out of area, but to confirm explosions has (sic) been successful," the outline said, according to authorities. "The amount of explosives should be ample to take down the building(s)."

Kinda of related story. My mom, (who works as a real estate agent), just rented a house to a guy a few months ago. Apparently the owner of the complex suspected something was up with the guy, called the cops a little while ago, and just last week he was arrested by the FBI on cocaine trafficing charges, and has been apparently laundering money for an Al-Qaeda cell somewhere in the area. Its all kinda freaky though, because we live in the same city that 2 of the hijackers lived before the sept 11th attacks and my mom actually remembered muhammed atta coming into her office to rent an apartment.

Yeah, you're right... kind of scary that the only reason they caught him, is his mother turned him in. Else he would have gotten away with it...
