Hey, I'm just starting with case (etc.) modding - the most i've done is cut holes for more fans and put some lights in. Recently I got a hold of some EL (electro-luminescent?) Wire from a buddy who used to be into the stuff, but I can't get it working. I want to put it in my mouse, like around the bottom edge or by splits of plastic - i'm not sure exactly yet. I have a 12V inverter and a 5V mini inverter, but I can't get the wires connected right or someting - the wire never glows. A site I found suggested some foil tape or something like that, but I wasn't able to find any in ANY store!!! :-( So I tried just using some aluminum foil.

Has any one had any experience with this?

Any words of advice?

where would I go to look for small UV cathodes?

all I found one time was an UV LED... that should work too, right?
