It's a bit odd, but does anyone really care? Is EPL just being really desperate here?

Eat it maybe once a year, and a little bit of cow is the least of my concerns when I do. I am curious as to what 'beef powder' is though.

Colonel Sanders would be furious if he saw KFC the way it is now. He was known for making surprise inspections on any place that sold under his name. On one occasion he removed the pressure cooker , told the owner he was fired and placed the equipment in the back of his Cadillac. They said he was very serious about food.

Looks like he had a temper when it came to his cooking.
From the wiki
Following his buyout in 1964, Colonel Sanders himself expressed anger at such changes, saying, "That friggin' ... outfit .... They prostituted every goddamn thing I had. I had the greatest gravy in the world and those sons of bitches they dragged it out and extended it and watered it down that I'm so goddamn mad."

Wasn't McDonald's putting beef in their french fries a few years back?

I rarely eat KFC, but even if I did I don't think I'd really care. I kinda assume that a lot of fast food is like hot dogs, you probably don't actually want to know all the ingredients. While I don't care since fast food is obviously not good for you, I think it'd be good to see the industry simplify things and focus on using as little ingredients as possible.

I eat it rarely but don't care, I voted for the wrong option (eat+care) so in reality no one cares.

After all, eating KFC is like stabbing the American taxpayer in the face like a durn terr'st

Yeah they removed the beef additives and now they taste like cardboard....

If God hadn't wanted us to eat cows he wouldn't have made them out of beef.

I eat it and do care. That is teh ghey.

I think I'll avoid them. Ever since I got turned on to EPL's 8 piece leg and thigh for $7.60 I haven't even though about KFC.

I'm sure people care but it's not likely to cause quite the same media uproar that McDonalds fries did. They were actively labeling the fries as vegetarian, whereas I doubt KFC labels their chicken as vegetarian or any similar claim where beef byproducts would make it false.
