well i was looking on eizo's site for some info on my old monitor. saw this in the buydirect area.

its a 18" LCD refurb, analog only. but eizo's analog if some of the best inthe business better than some DVI anyways if you use a good vid card with a clear 2d out. its 1280x1024. and well this is pretty cheap

Does anyone have an opinion on the quality of the specs for this monitor? They seem ho-hum to me, but Eizo is supposed to make one of the better LCD monitors available. Some input would be greatly appreciated!

looking at the specs, the contrast ratio isnt super great, neither is the brightness, but its typical for a panel this size. usually 15" LCDs are brighter.

the low brightness and contrast specs makes this monitor not very hot. if you download the display brochure from their website, they said this lcd is the first 18" in the industry. if that is indeed the case, this monitor may be more than a year or two old. looking at the exterior/design of the monitor itself, i can believe it's that old if not even older. so i'd be careful before spending money on such an old lcd panel that has subpar performance.

Are these really old models or something? I thought Eizo is suppose to be top notched on specs. This one sucks big time in my opinion.
