There was an old DOS game (named Sherlock, I think) that had thousands of puzzles like this. I used to play a few a night just to 'keep sharp'. Anyone know where to get that game? I think it was freeware. I'd like to play it again.

hmm I wonder if he included everyone in that 2% outcome.. I.E. disabled ppl, old ppl, kids, phychos... -_-;

anyway, the part that took longest for me was, the owner who smokes blue masters drinks beer.

But I cant see anyone with logical mind having any type of problem solving this... i.e. programmers i guess.

fun 🙂

I agree, nice little elimination table and it was done. Guess that's why I'm a programmer. 😱

bump for fun puzzle that i finally sat down and solved 🙂 would have been a lot easier if i realized that "- The Green House is on the left of the White House. " means right on the left. still only took 5 min in excel.

did this a while ago, just have to setup a table and fill in the blanks untill you find what is missing

We used to do these things all the time back in 7-8th grade. Gotta just make a grid and such and you can figure it out.

I figure I'm in the top 1%. Therefore, this should be relatively simple and not worth wasting my time.

Love the 2nd hit on that google search:
Albert Einstein wrote this riddle early during the 19th century
Dang, did he live a long time, or what? Since he died in the latter half of the 20th century, he must have been like, 150+ years old when he finally croaked!! :laugh:

I got it in about 10 minutes. Did it the old fashioned way, used pen & paper, made a table (like others here did on their puters). Thanks for the brain exercise!! 😀

The wording is poor in that "The Green House is on the left of the White House" could mean either "the green house is the house directly to the left of the white house" or "the green house is somewhere to the left of the white house" if you just blindly accept that it is supposed to mean directly to the left of the white house then it is very easy to solve.

i swear i've seen this riddle before on AToT..too lazy to search, and solve the riddle. I'm sure it's mass times speed of light times speed of light 😉

this riddle is retarded.

I got it without much problem.. everyone I showed it to has solved it so far... I dont feel special anymore 😉
