Einstein Optimised Clients

It's actually an optimized APP, not the client if I read the thread correctly. So, there should be an increase of 2,5x to 5x, depending on the WU size, according to the thread.

I'll definitely try it next time I get to E@H.

Thx for the info Uli!!!

I guess I'll have to re-read the thread again as I've tried it on four machines and seen no difference in performance. 😕

*edit: Color me confused. I was misunderstanding how the performance increase would manifest itself. 😱 You won't see any difference in the benchmarks at all. You simply need to let the client run.. and believe me you will see a marked difference in the times being taken to crunch the work units!! 😀

On one particular P4 rig, I'm seeing workunits that used to take a little under 4h45m to crunch now taking 2h35m to finish! :Q That's HUGE! 🙂

my Athon64 3.200+ is doing his Work in 1:30, with the old Client about 4 Hours, that is fast i think...

Sir Ulli

Another example using an XP2400 rig that I have running the new app:

As you can see, before the new app, workunits were taking an average 15,800 to 15,950 seconds to complete; the 12,958 seconds was when I introduced the new app, and the 6,860 second figures are all completed workunits running fully thru the new app.

Double WHOA! 😎

"Claimed credit" is correspondingly lower because less time was needed to complete the workunits - no issues there.
