That has to be one of the weirdest operas, or song in general, I've ever heard. Not saying it's bad, it's just weird. I can't say I really like it, but I would play it a few times just to listen to how odd it is. I've only heard the piece with the a soprano (?) counting "1-2-3-4" repetitively and the end of that piece where a guy is reciting a story of how much a man loves this woman and how purposeless his life would be without her.

What is this opera all about? So far, the only thing I know about it comes from this article.


Edit: I'm referring to the opera by Philip Glass, not Counting Cows, Philip Glass!! 😛
