I guess you missed the part about Germany and the V2 Rockets and all the Buzz Bombs that germany bombed London with???

Did you forget all of that History????

The Japanese used prisoners of war and civilians to build rail roads.

The Japanese fed children in China Candy laced with Opium so they would be addicted.

When Japan invaded Korea around 1911 they chopped down all the trees and stole the crops and left the farmers to starve to death. They also burned down all the palaces and the temples. Japanese did not care for the preservation of anyone but themselves.

The Japanese were a cruel and barbarous people. Hell bent on invading other countries, taking their land and stealing all their resources and they did not care how many civilians starved to death. Is this the Japan that you want us to feel sorry for?

I think you have forgotten the real history of Japanes conquest and invasion.

Upsetting the balance of power in the region, allowing Iran by default to rise as the new "strongman" in the area, the U.S. being seen by many as an imperialistic power.....
These are the results of the status quo, not an early success in Iraq.

Had we stabilized Iraq quickly, it would now serve as an ally to America and a check to Iran and other powers in the region...and an American staging area in the region for working against Al Quaida in Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc.

There were strategic benefits to the Iraq mission had we stabilized Iraq upon taking Bagdad...amazing that the strategic blunders made in the weeks following the collapse of Saddam's region condemned us to the current state of affairs.

QP, why do you post this? Do you really believe we should have gone to war in Iraq? Do you believe the Neocons didn't use 9/11 as an opportunity to further their agenda? Do you think the war was not an expression of American mental illness?
