Does anyone know what the deal is with pending results in Einstein@Home?

I haven't seen my stats jump a whole lot in the past several days so I checked my account and found two screens full of "Pending Results".

Sure would be nice to get credit for them. Guess I'll have to send a message and findout what the hold up is. If credit isn't granted for the work done.... Humm... no more Einstein@Home for me. 🙁

Only results passing validation gets credit, and a wu isn't tried validated before got atleast 3 "success"-results.
In Einstein@home there's a one-week deadline, so don't be surprised some of the other users getting the same wu uses a full 7-day-cache.
If someone is having an error or doesn't return before deadline, the wu will be resent again, so it can take over a week before enough results to validate.

But, as long as you're reporting your results before your deadline you'll eventually get the credit, as long as you're not crunching garbage due to example too much overclocking that is. 😉

Then gets the time to implement it, the average_turnaround_time should be used to send wu only to users with similar turnaround-time, meaning most of the time faster crediting.

They will be granted credit eventually.

Some people have slower computer and take longer to finish a WU.

Also, if someone moves WUs to a no-net computer, it could take a while for results to get back.

BE WARNED THOUGH: these WUs are dated and need to get back in time!

Cool...

A cache for results so I could see my stats jump considerably some time soon.

Thanks!

Yep - actually, things seem to be improving too as far as how long it takes for your Pending work to be validated, probably as a result of the project being opened to the public.

For a long time, my Pending work was hovering in the 6k range, but now is hovering in just the 2k range. 🙂
