Its a virus, so yes it is wide spread. Do you not realize that the same effect could be achieved WITHOUT flash? Look into web standards, flash-virus is NOT one of them.

Again, an effect EASILY achieved WITHOUT flash-virus is possible. Is it that youre just lazy?

I dont understand what you are babbling about. Are you saying that Adobe/Macromedia Flash/Shockwave is a virus? It's used by many websites such as google, youtube, yahoo and even here at anandtech for advertisement banners.

You are right, I got confused with the different LRT stations ^^

Flash is a virus because its abolutely unnecessary and reaks havoc with usability. There are pleanty of other optoins for video. There is absolutely no reason to embed video this way. If you HAVE to use vector based grphics use SVG. At the very least allow non-virus users the option to view content without the virus.

Roger that homercless337, but IMO, flash is an absolutely necessary plug-in if you want to enjoy any modern sites like youtube.

Thanks everyone for your comments!
More pictures coming soon =)

very nice snaps. I also have an F30 and I really like it, my only problem with it is that it tends to suffer from chromatic aberration on high contrast shots. If fuji released a camera with an image stabilization mechanism and a lens that does just a bit better with CA, I'd upgrade in a blink.

Yeah I wish Fuji would release a competitor to the Panasonic LX1 camera with their sensor. Wide angle, native widescreen, optical image stabilizer, and super CCD would make it the ultimate p&s.

and for the anecdote of the day....

I went down Denver to shoot more of the light rail system and surrounding areas when a train inspector warned me that taking pictures in that area was prohibited. Umm I saw no signs anywhere, but anyways... I went to shoot at another station only to realize that the guy has been following me!

For reference, I told him I was taking those pictures in a public area, from the sidewalk to be exact. Big arguments ensued, he wanted to confiscate my equipment and called the cops on me. But they had nothing on me Shocked

In other words, I was labeled as a terrorist. GRRR

Nice pics. Last time I was there, was during the beer festival. Downtown Denver is a great place, especially in the summer.

Sucks about not being able to take picture at the stations - I guess they don't want people scoping the place out for terror strategies
