"This means that if you see a mag turn up within the next few weeks (ding!) that features Arkham Asylum on its cover (ding!) and gives it at least 90% (ding ding ding!), you have a winner."

Crazy that they would do something like this yet again, especially when they've been bought by Square Enix anyway...

I imagine a lot of devs/publishers do this, hence the great reviews for crap games i sometimes see.

Where'd they get this info? Sounds like a load of BS to me until I see a source. I mean I wouldn't put it past Eidos to try such a thing, but I also expect certain news to come with a credible source. I'll be renting this game at the very least, and I hope it will be up to my expectations (which are fairly high).

"Eidos has tampered with review scores in the past. The company and its various PR firms requested that editors sit on reviews of Tomb Raider: Underworld that scored under 8 out of 10. The company admitted that it wanted to control its overall Metacritic score until a week after the game's release. "Just to ensure that we don't put people off buying the game," an Eidos press contact admitted."
