eHome devices in device manager

Hi, i've Googled about a bit and found some answers and have managed to disable them all. They all seem to appear since windows XP days. My question is why, after reinstalling Win 7, am I seeing these for the first time. I've installed Windows many times and never seen these before. I even checked other pc's, win 7, vista, and 8 and they don't have these.

Do you have a wireless ms keyboard and mouse set or any usb dongles that are added to the assuming its the on in your sig?
 
Hi, yes i have a usb tv stick. But I've had it for a couple of years. And these weren't there before this reinstall of Windows. Logitech wired keyboard and mouse. The only other things to be connected so far are a wired 360 controller and a couple of flash drives.

MCIR = Media Center Infrared

Media Center remote controls (which, like most TV remotes, use IR) appears as keyboards to Windows. They appear as long as you have a MC-compatible IR receiver, even if you don't have a remote control that you use with it at the moment (the hardware that Windows interacts with is the receiver, not the actual remote).

As for why it didn't appear before... I can only venture guesses. Maybe the drivers for your USB TV stick were not properly installed in the past? Maybe you're using newer drivers that added support for it? And if your TV stick doesn't actually have IR support, maybe you're using a newer/different version of the drivers that erroneously added it?

yup.

I have both a wireless MS keyboard/mouse combo and a MS TV remote with IR blaster for my HTPC.

ehome stuff is in both my Win XP MCE2005 and my Win 7 Ultimate WMC system (I dual boot them).
 
Ok thanks, was gonna reinstall again but I guess i can leave it. And yes, I'm using a lot newer drivers for the tv stick.
