My dad was installin his 168-pin SDRAM, and he broke the clip.

Anyway...he wants to know if it can be fixed...I dont think so lol

And...does it make a difference? The RAM is seated properly...but will it like come loose at random times now?

I should be fine if its seated correctly. He may have a hard time getting it out again though.

ram seems to fit fairly snug...i think it is safe to say that if it is seated properly and the computer isn't kicked around (tell dad to control his temper) the ram will stay put. as far as getting it out, if one clip is ok then it should lift it up fine...i don't see a problem

You could try some epoxy if the dimm doesn't sit well. Or maybe you could just scotch tape the dimm un place. That'd be kinda funny. :)
