i overclocked on my friend's old old PC which is a BX board.. OC'ed the PCI bus to 41 Mhz (cause it doesn't have the locks on PCI bus) and the hard drive corrupted!!!

How come? The hard drives are connected to the controllers on the mobo. I guess those are connected internally to the PCI bus?

it has to run through the interal mobo buses anyhow. your overclock probably made windows unstable and the hard crash killed the windows install.

Yep, that'll happen sometimes if you OC the PCI too far, say to around 40 MHz, give or take depending on lots of factors.
