Per the banner at the top everyone was let go except the crew and 5 foreigners. Hopefully everything turns out for the best for those involved and the terrorist catch a nice bullet or two between the eyes. :(

Egyptian airport security, or is that a misnomer, is putting a lot of people at risk.

The suspected hijacker of an EgyptAir airliner surrendered to authorities at Larnaca airport in Cyprus on Tuesday, Cypriot authorities said.

The hijacker emerged from the aircraft with his hands in the air, state TV said.

"Its over," Cyprus's foreign ministry said in a tweet.

The Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) and a private broadcaster, Antenna, said the hijacker was asking for the release of women prisoners in Egypt, suggesting a political motive.

The latest reports on Tuesday's hijacking contradict earlier statements by Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades and other Cypriot security sources suggesting the hijacker's motives were personal and linked to an ex-wife who lived in Cyprus.

This guy is as dangerous as he is stupid. Did he ever remotely think about how in the hell he and his love are going to get away assuming she even gets released?
