What's the best way to get to the island? I found one but it's pretty expensive for 3 people... $120~. Are there other options?

$40/person for a round trip boat ride to/from an island is expensive?

Perhaps you should just go play with your friends in a public park on the mainland for free.

I went there like 15+ years ago and stopping and hanging there was part of a snorkel/park trip that we did. No idea how much it cost back then.
