I couldn't care less about the mag. I just think it's an unethical biz practice when they clearly promoted "free print subscription"

A lot of people who signed up couldn't care less about the digital-zine as there are much better sites at this.. (i.e. firingsquad.com)

There was no business transaction involved... you didn't give them anything!

Besides, the electronic version is a 1:1 copy of the print version.

$10 says that there was a disclaimer saying "while supplies last". If that's unethical then I think that a lot of stores have some questions to answer.

seriously, you are a dumbass. They don't owe you anything.

unethical biz practice? WTF are you talking about? They don't have an infinite amount of supplies jackass...get it through your head. Furthermore, I think that by at least letting you know that they ran out and offering you a 2nd choice they showed a lot of class and should be deemed as a respectable business for communicating with the customer. Holy crap man, get a grip, so what you didn't get a free subscription...wah wah wah.

I think the electronic version requires some extra software to be installed, and it's in some proprietary format (as opposed to, say, PDF or HTML), which makes it a pain in the a$$ to read and an even greater hassle to print or save.

Can anyone confirm? I believe I had signed up for something like this a long time ago, and I gave up on it after realizing it's to much trouble - I'm not sure it was EGM, though...
