No matter how many products you buy now, Egghead.com Superstores offers a flat shipping rate of $6.95 per order on UPS Ground deliveries. Additional charges apply for expedited shipping.

This is a good place to pricmatch! Shipping is cheap and so are there prices..

Sorry they don't PM

Product Price
As a leading retailer, Egghead.com uses its purchasing power and strong relationships with top distributors to bring you low prices.

Orders will be charged based upon the price listed at the order preview screen. Egghead.com will not adjust pricing in order to match competitors' pricing.

Actually, that's pretty good.
Now I can buy big ticket items without worrying about high s&h charge.
Especially monitors.

I think he meant use their price to pricematch with other stores so they won't ding you on the shipping........

After the CC fiasco at their site, and their refusal to admit any breach, you couldn't pay me enough to shop at Egghead. YMMV

I agree with Stumblebum1, Egghead is overpriced. I received a $25 gift certificate and I can't find anything worth buying. Even with the discount, the Egghead prices are no better than Pricewatch.

Egghead does have some good pricing. You just have to keep checking their site. They change the prices fairly frequently. They don't have the lowest prices but the shipping is a great deal especially on heavy stuff.

Well, if your credit card has the option, you can use randomly generated numbers like discover deskshop does. Those numbers are only good for one use.

The best way to use this deal is to order from Egghead with a citibank click citi credit card, which offers:
1. Individual number for each transaction and
2. Pricematching online vendors for up to 60 days after you buy.

and buy items you normally get hammered on for shipping, or items like video cards / processors that you know will be cheaper in 2 months.

As a result you get:
1. Security since your card is a one time use card
2. The lowest price you can find from a pricewatch vendor, with up to 60 days protection and
3. quite reasonable shipping (where else will you get an Antec full tower case delivered for $6.95 (note that Outpost doesn't carry full towers with 300W PS).

This is not a hot deal. I know this long long time ago.
But Egghead is a good place to buy case unless there is some place like Onvia before free shipping even on case.

Keep in mind that when you pricematch, say, Staples TO Egghead, they're not just going to add $6.95. That's GROUND. They'll add Egghead's price for next-day shipping, which I'd guess is quite a bit higher.

I'm gonna defend egghead here. I ordered after their credit card problem, but I have ordered from them only twice since then. I just ordered an Antec SX1030 for $104 shipped... next best price on that case I found was $125 shipped... so saved me some $ I think. Also, about a month and a half ago I got my Philips speakers from them.... compUSA sold these for $99 and that was their msrp, but I did some searching and found them on egghead for $55 shipped (huge box btw... they come in a box the size of a monitors').

My point: Egghead is not exactly overpriced... they have some hot deals, you just have to do some searching. I'll definately shop there again... they come up on pricegrabber a lot because of the flat shipping rate. It's a nice thing. ;)

I will not shop Egghead again. I bought a monitor from them with a 3-year warranty (Egghead was supposed to be the one servicing the warranty). When the monitor died 6 months later, Egghead refused to honor their 3-year warranty. I got nowhere with customer service so I reported the matter to the Better Business Bureau. In the end, Egghead NEVER honored the warranty but refunded my money instead.
