egads! velocd problem

i just got a 32x velocd drive, and the tray doesnt stay shut, whats the deal? i put a cd in, and it pops out and sits there open... 😕
 
I have a 24X velocd drive and I have the opposite problem. I try to open the tray and it pops out and then goes back in.
 
Maybe your eject button is sticking. Try using software eject. Either way, RMA. 🙁
I had a Creative Labs CD-ROM a few years ago. When I took it out of the box, the tray was about 1/4" opened. I immediately thought, uh-oh. I plugged in the power and cycled it a few times. It would never close. Luckily, I had bought it at Wal-Mart which has a very liberal return policy. 🙂
