EGAD!!! may have broken AV710

i guess today 😛

ok i take my headphones out to put in my server and then i put them back into the AV710 and guess what... no sound well slight bumps and hisses when noise was suppose to be there....


not the bad part YET!

eh darn drivers uninstalled WTF....

oh it cant find the drivers on the disk hehehehe lets force the card to use them through the lemme specify which drivers dialog box... well that didnt go so well....
well it did it recognized and such


ok so i put it into another pci slot.. eh whats another bad pci slot...
it recognizes and such and installs normally

then i go in to WMP and play a song... looks like its playing and then

BOOOMbsod to the face...

something i dont understand blah blah hex blah

and i see a glimpse of envy24ht.sys or w.e


so i think its a driver problem and i will reinstall once i reformat one day

ORR is it a bad amplifier thingbob on the card i should have tested the opti. out but eh it probably would have BSODed too...


CAN ANYONE HELP?!?!?!?!
 
could you please go back and edit your OP? it's really had to understand. the only thing i can think of that you did was fry the chip with static electricity. do you have on board audio? did you try the headphones with a different jack?
 
eh i can understand it

but arent headphones suppose to be "hot_swappable"

they do work with the onboard sound but onboard sound doesnt push my current headphones with enough power but i still got my optical out i guess 🙁
