EFFing Dermatologist

I went to the Dermatologist to get a perscription of something to get rid of my very mild acne... It wasn't bad, just a few spots nothing like some people.

Well, after I've been using it for a month... I've noticed my face is nearly covered in white bumps... which I've googled and look to be whiteheads... so this crap pretty much made my acne worse. I'm going to call tomorrow and get appointment from another dermatologist that knows what they're doing.

I never, ever had any white heads or black heads before this, just a few pimples. Now my cheeks and forehead are covered in them. This blows.

is the stuff he gave you a cream? if so, trash it. creams tend to cause more skin problems then other anti-acne solutions.

A lot of acne medications will make the acne worse before it gets better. It was the case for me when I was on meds. Read the information on the medication, it'll probably say it gets worse before it gets better.

What was your regimen before you saw the derm?
How old are you? (if you don't mind me asking)

THe Benzaclyne cream that my derm gave me works wonders.

I have two prescriptions... one is for Differin Gel, the other is for Klaron... which is sodium sulfacetamide lotion. I'm 18... I know it's supposed to get worse before it gets good, but from what I was told it was supposed to start looking better in a month or so... it seems to be getting worse and worse. Acne and these whiteheads.

that sucks dude. Being over 15 with acne can't be fun 🙁

Yeah, it does, I try and keep it from wrecking my confidence... I've had plenty of bee-utiful girl friends... They say they don't mind, but... I'd still like to get rid of it.
