Effeminate jeans

I was trying on a pair of men's jeans from abercrombie & fitch. I go through my usual checklist - right waist size and length? Check and check. Time to try them out.

So I am trying on these jeans, and something seems odd. Let's see, the waist size and length seems fine. But still, something is very wrong with the fit. Wait, I know - the inseam is so high that I can't the jeans pulled up to my waist even though the pants are crammed halfway up my butt. There is so little room in front that I am singing in falsetto.

As I look down to inspect the problem, I notice something else that is peculiar: there are buttons where the zipper should be. Buttons that are very difficult to unbutton. Now I don't know about anyone else, but when I'm in the bathroom I like to spend as little time fiddling with my pants as possible.

I quickly take off these jeans and double check to see that these are indeed men's jeans. Yup, these are men's jeans.

What is the deal with these effeminate jeans? Who are buying these jeans!?

yup, you just learn to overlook them if possible and go for the standard cut jeans. I am a fan of loose straight leg jeans myself and the standard zipper fly. No need for damn button flys or wierd fitting jeans.

Try shopping Bananna Republic, Levi's, etc. for "normal" cut jeans 😛

there is nothing effeminate about button fly jeans. levi's 501s are button fly, iirc.

and don't buy skinny jeans.

edit: speeling

Go get RL or Nautica. A&F will only bring your coinpurse pain and suffering, and they're expensive, too, if you know what I mean.

A&F is emo? 😕 I thought A&F was for ***s and pretty boys/metros
Not since the word "FVCK" has another word assumed so many meanings. The problem is though, at least with "fvck" they all work.

Levis

cheap as hell and enoug hfor me....Iv'e tried other brands but they are too expensibe for my tastes....polo ones are comfy though.

There's only 1 jean that can be called button fly, Levi's 501s. Everything else can go suck it. *owns 5 pairs of 501s*

there's your problem
true.

go buy your jeans elsewhere. a & f is the ultimate emo shoppe.

Sorry, but you couldnt be more wrong. A&F is pretty much the anti emo store. No emo would be seen in wearing a peice of A&F or American Eagle or any popular store's clothes. Emos will be shopping at skate shops and and music stores for a totally opposite style. Somtimes even some crappy tight levis.
Anyways try American Eagle and Hollister instead. I've had much better luck with AE stuff recently.

I thought A&F was suppose to be preppy?

So I guess those were emo jeans? I've seen a few guys walking around with really tight jeans, thinking to myself "wtf?" I remember when I was younger, some foreign kid had those same jeans and was made fun of endlessly.

jesus christ.. so the tight fitting pants have been around for awhile, emo's start wearing them, and they are instantly emo jeans.

i for one love my low rise boot cuts.. if you have looked, just about any rock-person wears the style that are tight to the legs.
it's just a trend again and so A&F is cashing in on it. personally i like the low rise boot cuts from Levi's just as well, although my most recent pair were AE brand.

edit: but i will say this: i have regular fitting jeans too, and my low rise boot cuts aren't skin-tight, they are actually loose and comfortable, just they definitly do fit your form, but leaving room to breathe.

oh and that same style, just not 'your girlfriend's pants' type of tight, are actually getting into style for the preps/jocks too. i noticed it around my school.. reason being, it seems a lot of the hollywood men are sticking to that style of jeans too, except the more expensive brands that are actually made well, unlike A&F which are stitched horribly.

I just bought a great pair of Gap jeans. nice, loose fit, gap pants just seem to fit me well. they also have a button fly...i don't look at it as a problem though, just think of it as more foreplay. 😀

I don't need foreplay before I use the restroom. 😀

AE makes some nice jeans... comfy & you can normally get em for $20 or something at their seemingly never-ending sales.
