I took advantage of an issue I was having with stability on my computer and since I was running 3dmark05 for stress I figured I should record the results of each stage and share the results of tweaking my very realistic set up.

Well the stability issue wasnt related to any overclocking or tweaking and I have gone from 12.73 to 14.8 fps in game test 1 - this is a 16% improvement in framerates and every game test had about that much gain. It's true that it doesnt appear to be much because I used 3dmark05 but in a real game this could mean a serious improvement ie 50fps to 58.

I dont really see a reason not to overclock my system.

To this day I'm amazed that people overclock just to get higher 3DMark scores.

Where did you ever read that I overclock to get better 3dmark scores? Are you retarded or just a flamebait troll?

I was running 3dmark to test for stability issues in my system. If you search for threads by me you will find one in Tech in which I asked for help pinpointing a randomly reoccurring reboot issue. After finding the issue fixed and retweaking my system I simply ran 3dmark after each step to see if the system would fail.

To this day I am amazed that a lifer has no reading comprehension skills and makes assumptions that suits his attitude.
