Effective hair gel without the shine, is there a such thing?

Are there any hair gels for men with effective holding power that don't leave your hair shinny? Basically, I'm looking for the hold without it looking like I have any hair gel on.

Hair Wax
Hair Paste
Hair Puddy
Hair Pomade
Hair Glue
Etc etc etc

Avoid any shiny looking objects.

I buy whatever's on sale but you will probably go through many brands and types before finding one you like.

Axe makes a good one I like.

MJinz beat me to it, but Axe makes a surprisingly good gel/paste/pomade etc.

I like the "Clean Cut" Pomade they have.

yea, Axe is a good deal, but American Crew has a "No Shine" Forming Cream.

I have medium shine right now, but Imma get No Shine next.

if you have short hair you can try crude clay. buy it from a korean beauty supply store.

i heard the axe brand paste works well also.

No, there is no such thing. I am a girl, and I find it super obvious and obnoxious when a guy uses hair gel/paste/wax of any kind. No matter the claim, it has a tendency to make a man look "greasy" throughout the day.

Take it from a girl, skip the hair paste guys. Girls love the locks looking natural and touchable. There is nothing better than hair with some movement on a guy!

Check out Jared Padalecki's hair (w/o the grease)!

I've been using an Axe product for a while and it seems to work well. I think it's the purple one?
