I'm not wanting to trespass any bounds here or do anything illegal, but is there any way someone at a university can help me by buying me an educational version of Win XP, and maybe even Office XP is that option is open? Money is just tight for now and will be for awhile, but I really would love to LEGALLY purchase XP Home for strictly personal use (surfing/games/multimedia projects) but at a discount price. Microsoft pricing is just too greedy for my budget, and I have too many other things I really need before I'm going to scrape up the dough for the "nonessentials" (darn it
heh) like this upgrade.
Friends here in Arizona are willing to buy it for me and have me reimburse them for the University of Arizona pricing, but UoA wants almost $100, and that's pretty much full price? I know Texas universities offer if for around $20 or less, so that's kind of what I'm hoping to pay? I'll be happy to send some extra cash to someone willing to help me, I just want to keep things as clean as possible but not pay full price....
Thanks to anyone that can help, I TRULY do appreciate it, and if adding money is a no-no, then just e-mail me, and I'll be happy to try and say thank-you with something that doesn't cross any kind of ethical or legal boundaries.
Thanks again,
GS
