Educational license of XP?

Does the educational license of XP (such that you'd get through a college or university) have unlimited user licenses? That's what I've heard, but I just wanted to confirm/shoot down my assumption.

I hate this product activation thing.

If you're talking about the Acaemic version (one that you get with student discounts), then I'd like to know too.

well, the xp "academic" version i get from my college NEEDS to be activated

BUT, the xp "site license" i get through the computer department at college (for IT employees) doesn't require it

so i tend to think the normal academic version might still require activation...but i spose i'm not sure either
