My friend is going to buy a system with 24 meg of EDO memory.I want to buy some more for him. What are the biggest stick they made of EDO?128meg?

The problem isn't so much how big of an EDO stick can you buy, it's more about how large of an EDO stick will the board support.

That's the million dollar question.

It's very expensive. You'll probably pay more for that than a gig of PC3200 DDR.

most boards would only support 32MB or 64MB sticks of that, IIRC

you need to get a hold of the motherboard manual and see what it can take as vi says

I recall having 2 32mb chips in my old p1 166.

The biggest thing you have to remember about edo is that it must be run in paralelle. This means you have to buy 2. Whatever you need EDO for its going to be cheaper/more economical to buy an old socket A chip motherboard and ddr RAM.
