Edmunds: Tundra vs. Titan vs. Silverado

Gee, the brand new, redesigned truck is the winner. What a true shock! How long before it's announced as the Car & Driver truck of the year?? If all these awards weren't so pathetic, it'd be laughable!

Oh yeah, and the tail lights on that Toyota are FUGLY. I've seen one in person, and it looks retarded!

*ahem*

The Silverado is "all new" according to GM.

it does'nt really matter.

most people who want a truck will go with a f150/silverado just like most people who want a car get a camry/accord.

Tundra > Silverado > Titan

The only thing the Titan has going for it is that it's a fast truck. Other than that, it's reliability, interior and overall quality are inferior. mrSHEiK, you are just a Nissan fanboy because you bought an Altima. The quality between a Nissan car and SUV/truck varies greatly. Check Consumer Report's reliability lists. khxbye, to you, too.

Actually my Frontier which is a baby Titan ranked at the top of the truck reliability list. Which is really weird because the Titan was at the bottom.

The Frontier is an amazing vechicle for the class it competes in.

I sat in a Titan, all options (nav, etc). I wasn't impressed, but I thought that is how trucks are supposed to be? What I mean is, it was full of plastic and it didnt look luxurious to me at all even with all those options.

I heard they would have completed the test months earlier but the toyotas kept getting recalled.

And you know because....

Titan > Silverardo > Tundra

Since we're making ass-faced claims and all...

No you're right...I have yet to sit in a truck where I was wow'ed by the interior.

I wasn't too impressed with the Tundra at the NAIAS. The lids of the door bins were made from cheap plastic that felt very fragile and the doors rattled when you closed them. My Dad's 15 year old S10 with over 300,000 miles on it didn't do that when you shut the door.

Yeah, but even with that aside, for a work truck, the Titan kind of blows. But if I were in the market for a truck, I'd go with a heavy duty from Ford or GM. An F-350 with that new 6.4L diesel would be awesome.
