Edmunds Full Test: 2006 Hyundai Azera

I LOL when I see the new commercial for this car. They actually have the ballz to compare to a BMW 760Li in terms of interior room!!!

Call me old fashioned, but I'd pay the extra $3K for an Avalon.

I'd buy it over any FWD luxury sedan that Detroit has to offer...but I'd rather have an Avalon as well.

So, I went to the local Hyundai dealer to check out the car and its features. Let me tell you, it's nice inside, but it looks like an Avalon had a baby with an Accord or something. For the price, I'm definitely not digging it too much at all.

I think it's a worthy contender.. with a MSRP of $29,995 I'm sure you could get it for less than that. Would I get one over an Avalon? Maybe over the XLS, but if I was to get an Avalon I would pick the Avalon Limited, but that has a MSRP of $37,695 (with "Option Combination #D")... so who knows.
But then again I have my eye on a 06 TL anyway so it doesn't matter 🙂

Preach on, Brother!

I put 190K on my '97 Camry, the wifes '03 has over 100k on it now, I've owned 2 Tacoma's, a '89 & '93 2wd pickup's, a Tercel, a Corolla, and a 1968 Corona Deluxe and I never once....once had to do anything to any of them besides regular oil/filters and the 30/60/90etc servicings.

Hyundai is going to have to do better then a Edmunds positive rating for me to even consider them.
