Dropping a TL body on an 07 RDX power train might be a good idea.

How is stuffing a turbo'ed I4 into a car based on the universal Accord platform a good idea? The "luxury" sedan doesn't need a turbo I4 - it needs at least a 6 or an 8 to compete in it's market.

Better handling at a cheaper price.

Again, how does it compete in the luxury sedan market, against the VQ in the G35? Cheaper price? The variant of the J30 (or whatever engine number) is the same variant used in the Accord. The price differential b/t the V6 and the I4 is $3K. Include the turbo'ed 4 and a tranny to handle the power and you've absorbed any hope of "cost savings".

Were the 2007 Acura RDX given a Chinese zodiac sign, its birth would fall under the year of the Fire Dog. Astrological traits include loyalty, passion, intelligence and, with a bit of speculation on our part, the ability to shoot flames out of one's mouth while barking.

No doubt Acura would be very happy if people see the Fire Dog's qualities in its new RDX. This is a new compact luxury SUV and represents the latest trend in the SUV segment. As a counter to your neighbor's hulking 'Slade, the RDX's auto-zodiac traits have it being smaller, less conspicuous and more fuel-efficient, but with enough toys to keep the bourgeoisie happy. Vive la résistance!

Who the hell writes this stuff? Are they talking about a car or a book on astrology?

The writer should be fired for those two paragraphs alone.

Personally I think the turbo 4 w 240hp/260torque would work better than the current design in the real world. On the other hand the TSX might make a better candidate even though it doesn?t really need better handling.

"The X3?s 3.0-liter straight-six makes 225 hp, by the way. When we drag-raced the two cars at three straight stoplights during the press intro, the RDX always whupped, especially when we used the brake-torque launch technique."

lol at stoplight races at press events.
