that is on the new SAE ratings. the same engine with the old ratings in the toyota mark x is rated at something like 215hp

This new thing rips off the Nissan body (Maxima, Altima) terribly bad, escp. the backend. Not nearly the "streety" car the IS 300 was.

I like the new look and interior, but there's GOT to be a way to turn off those electronic controls. Dyno mode!!??!! Question is how long before TRD and Hotchkis come up with stuff to sharpen the electronic throttle and dial back the nanny on the computer.
That's my reason why the old IS with it's Supra block, smaller size (weight??) and lack of electronic overlording seem to be more attractive to me. I hope the old version drops its value like a rock.
