No I bought mine from NCIX 2 years ago. Cost me CAD$750 (!!!) but it was the best computer purchase I've made for a while...don't regret it one bit. Zero dead pixels and I'm hoping it lasts me a couple more years.

No doubt. You can get a refurb/return now for $300 USD from Benq. I've seen it side-by-side with a 2408, and while the uncalibrated colors are better on the Dell, they are about the same once calibrated, and the BenQ has much less input lag.

It's so difficult to find good panels anymore, I do hope Dell expands their E-IPS selection.

What's the service at Benqshopper like? Have you had to deal with any returns, dead pixels, etc? Will they pay shipping for defective monitor return?

When I ordered the screen, I called them up and had a guy physically open the box, power up the screen and check it for dead pixels before sending it. He didn't seem to have any issue with that. Never had to deal with returns.

No I think its "official" now that it has been discontinued. At least orders have been stopped for it.

Possible replacement? I get the feeling that it sold very well. Other than me, I personally know a person who also bought one. That's more than I can say for a lot of other monitors.
