editing xp logon welcome screen

i have other ppl's work, and it's cool... i just want to use different pictures tho... and play around w/ it a bit is there anything out there other than using reshack? I found that it hasn't worked too well for me.. saving the exe, and then switching to it has cause my system to fail logging in (system recovery console to old config ).

anyone have any input on this?

I don't know how to create the logos themselves, but this program makes it easy to switch between logon logos in a collection. Many pre-made logon screens can be downloaded here.

i was actually following boomgames guide b4 just wanna give it a go myself... but looking for a description of what most of teh settings are.... i'd mess w/ it more if i had a spare xp machine to mess with...
