Editing wiki - line feeds

For anyone who's done so, when posting on any listing's Talk page, when you press the enter key, it doesn't show up when viewing it later. Why? You can press enter twice, but then you have a double space. So you have to click the Line Feeds button every time?

The blank line is how Mediawiki indicates a new paragraph. If you're trying to put in line breaks without starting a new paragraph, you're probably not following Wikipedia's style guidelines. An unordered list may be more appropriate. In what context are you trying to do this?

Not exactly sure you're saying.
I'm just trying to enter some discussion text but it jumbles it all together without any line feeds. Stinks.

BTW, make that wikipedia. Sorry.
