ok, so my friend gave me the address, and access to his ftp server. He wants me to edit his webpage, but I dont know how...

how do I do it in frontpage? do I just open it in IE, and edit w/ frontpage, then upload it back up? I"m used to typing it in html and all that crap, and upload it to a geocites thing, but now, My friend gave me an adress to a server, and I dont know what to do.

Download the index.html or the file he wants you to edit. Open it in notepad, frontpage, dreamweaver etc. Then upload it back to the server in the same folder.

This is of course, assuming you have smartftp or cuteftp etc.
