Editing menus in Suse

I use suse 8, and there are Suse specific menue that appear in KDE or Gnome. However, if I use the menu editor in either of those environments
they only seem to work for their specific menus (i.e., the gnome menue editor lets me edit the default gnome menus but not the suse menu, smae thing
for KDE). Is there an easy way to do this, by editing a text file? and if anyone has done this, where does Suse stick that file?

Bump...

Anyone have any idea where these are kept, and/or what they are called? I can't find them anywhere, but obviously they are there. Thanks
