I filed my taxes in late march. I confirmed that botsh my state and federal tax returns reached the respective offices by 25th march. When do I expect any refunds ? I opted for direct deposit.
Is this normal or does it take even longer ? When do I start worrying if there isn't any response ?

Just checked my acct. got my state refund. Federal is on its way. Should be in on the 16th.

At least with federal you can go to irs.gov and do a "where's my refund". Plug that data in. Personally mine reached their offices (al and fed) around Mar 22 and I received my state check within 3 weeks (I did mail in for both BTW), and my federal as of this morning has been updated to say they'll do a direct D this friday.

tsk, tsk, tsk gluck you should no better than not to post this in the tax thread.

In any case, if you paper filed it could take at 6 weeks. If you electronically filed opting for direct deposit you should get it in 2 weeks.
