it is: unbootable disk or sumtin but why can i not go above 150?

when i set the frequency between fsb and memory to 1:: it still causes this error? so i hav eno idea why this is happening

I need a good cpu burn program and that memory tester would be nice

Specs
1.8a
Abit it7 Max
XMS 3200 256mb
ati 7200
True power 430watt !!!!(another problem, MBmonitor reports my -5vat -3.23 and my -12v at -9.54 is this really bad?) !!!!!!

Uhhh, I think your ram is running at 200mhz and your processor is at 150. Multipliers on P4's dont change. I'd look at your ratio settings.

Read your manual, your not explaining your problem very well. What are 151/202 suppose to represent?

1.8a = 18x100 = 1800MHz

18x150 = 2700MHz

150/200 means 150FSB / 200MHz memory bus

ok so i change the ext cpu clock to 151 and then i guess the ram goes to 202 and a BSOD occurs

and from what ive dun i have changed the Multiplier as originally it was at 8(100 clock speed) now at 16.

so i guess whenever my ram decides to o/c itself windows xp pro performs a BSOD

1.6v for the CPu default 2.5 for the memory should i up the memory voltage?

Using oft Menu III

Also whats a good stability testing program? the one you run for 24 hrs wen o/cing i cant think of its name

Try doing this .

Try setting your CPU FSB to 133MHz (18x133=2.4GHz).

In your DRAM Ratio H/W set this to ?low?.

In DRAM Ratio ?(CPU : DRAM)?, there should now be ?3:4? setting. Choose this setting.

You CPU should be running at 2.4GHz & Ram at 177MHz (DDR354). Try this setting out, and see if you have stability.

Also, make sure you lock PCI Bus Frequency to 33Mhz, and AGP should be 66MHz.

Now your bios screen should show?133/177?.

BTW: Like others have posted 18x150=2.7GHz. That is extreme for that CPU without some sort of extreme cooling.

Koolance =extreme cooling????

ok but why ddr 354 when i got pc3200= ddr400?

i probably will knowck it down sum

Koolance surely does = extreme cooling. However, it doesn't seem to be helping in your situation, your CPU may very well be at its max at 133-140FSB or maybe your ram @ 200MHz (DDR400, though XMS should be able to run DDR400 without any problems). So that's why I'm suggesting you try a lower setting to see if you can gain some stability then work it up.

The reason for DDR354 is because the only way you'll be able to run at 200MHz (DDR400) is to set your FSB to 150. 133FSB = DDR354.

That?s why when I bought my IT7 Max I bought DDR366 and not DDR400.

P4 1.8a @ 2.4GHz (133FSB) is already 600MHz above normal operating speed. You may be expecting way too much from your CPU.

A good program to test your CPU would be CPU Stability Test 6.0.

ok i am now at 6.5 volts and i am running cpuburn but i gotta go to sleep so i will see wat happens in the morning

What is wrong with my voltage on my true power ps?

-5v rail at -3.33

-12v rail at -8.53

These are very bad from what ive heard

you coult try the turture test found in RC5. It will load your CPU 100% and tell you if any results of the keys it asked the CPu to finish were wrong by checking it against known correct numbers.

So far i am goin for 8 hours in Cpu Stability Test

What voltage should i not pass?

Current Temps after 8 hours CPU 41C according to MBmonitor

speeds 150x18=2700!

Still have bad -5v and -12v rails if anyone could tell me if i should RMA the Power supply stats are up above 2 posts

I'll be at work all day so no posts til lunch break

bump for more info on how to solve the pre-windows BSOD and my Rail problems

IT went for 18 hours on stability test w/o crashing at 2.7 ghz
