Looking for any info as to what cars come with Garrett t-3's stock. Medium to large trim 45-50-60 .

Kind of out of my realm. Looking to nab two from a junkyard. Doing a sequential injection system with twin turbos on a carbed engine :)

t25s were used in 95-99 Eclipse GST/GSX and Talon ESI/TSI
t25s were used in 89-98 Nissan Silvias and Primeras

no cars from what im aware of came stock with a GT25 since that is a ball bearing badass mini turbo. perhaps the newer Mazdas?

Actually, the 2.3L Pinto engine responded pretty well to a single turbo... (with a few other mods to back it up) ;)

I looked into that a little - pipe dreams about turning our old 4banger mustang into something more exciting. I'd still like to get an SVO mustang or Thunderbird TC, but it doesn't seem like you can get much out of the stock 2.3L (I remember a magazine article that gave it the once over for breathing, added NOS, and slicks, and still ran a 16second 1/4).

As near as I could figure there was little in common between the 2.3 and the 2.3turbo engines other than displacement.

i think i recall something like that.

confirmed

The tuning wizards at Callaway Cars, Inc. (of Callaway Corvette fame) boosted the standard 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine with a Garrett T25 ball-bearing turbocharger and an air-to-air intercooler, resulting in 170 horsepower and 160 pound-feet of torque.

Yeah should be plenty of turbo dodges in the local junkyards with T3s. Even the early TI cars used garret t3s.
that page covers them all

I think some of the ford thunderbird turbo coupes also used them in the same size as the dodges only the compressor and exhaust sides are swapped making them a good combo.

I take "doing" to be "adding" or "installing", with two turbochargers, on a carbed engine. Now, is it a bit clearer? :)

Just watch out for the ones with the mitsujunk T3 (TE04H) knockoff (that includes the vans). Reference.

It has a much smaller compressor, the shaft bearings are a third the size of a Garretts and the exhaust housing is a major restriction! The backpressure at high boost levels must be obscene, the picture above shows the difference in exhaust housing passage sizes. The mitsu's is about the size of ONE 2.2 exhaust port!

I dealt with both that Mitsu POS and a real T03. There is a fvcking WORLD of difference.

Yeah my van still has the mitsu on it. Just waiting for a 89 TII to show up in the junkyard so I can stay with the good wastegate and swingvalve. The mitsu does spool up damn quick though.
