Edit: price was lowered to $129.99 for the 1700X now, and $249 for the 2700X; updated the title to reflect.

Hadn't seen this posted yet; for those that have a MC near them. Picked a 1700X and an ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4 for $190 before tax. I tried to hold out for Zen2 or Zen2 causing the 2700X to drop down much further, but I folded like a paper fan. Should be a decent upgrade over my Q6600...

I would say we need a "hate" button for all you people who are lucky enough to live near a MC, but then much to my surprise, we now do have the angry reaction. :p

Great prices on those CPUs / bundles.

And now Newegg on ebay has the 1920X TR(1) CPU for $420 + $1 ship. Soooo tempting.

1700X+b450 asrock for 190+tax such a great value very high end features good cpu, will be a wonderful upgrade from a Q6600. just noticed the 1700x has a higher passmark 14662 vs the 14342 2600x NICE.

IMO 1920x for 420 is not so hot. But when ebay throws in a 20% off coupon (surely there is one soon) might be tempting for someone out there. Do you encode / render a lot of material?

What would you use the cpu for virtuallarry im curious ;)

i save up my rendering/encoding jobs and cue them to run when i am gone for the day.

I remembered to dig out my free 32GB USB 3.0 drive coupon when I went to pick up my 1700X + mobo. That was a nice little bonus; just sayin'.

FYI - they’re going for $415 regularly on Amazon and a couple of weeks ago, Amazon had them for $380. I very nearly pulled the trigger but I have too many PCs in my office the way it is and also didn’t want to have to buy an expensive x399 board. If there is a good x399 deal on BF, I may change my mind. :)

Also, if you trust eBay, there have been high-rated sellers selling them as low as $350 with free shipping.
