EDIT:Rockband download content

Biggest issues are faulty strum bar or tilt sensor. The strum bar was remedied fairly quickly after the release guitars were all bought up, but I have no idea how to tell one from another.

Up until October of 2008, if you have any issues with it, you can just return it to EA for free and they'll hook you up with a new one - no questions asked.

After October they will require a receipt/proof of purchase to show you bought it within 60 days.

Seems like im having a issue with the tilt sensor. When i shake the guitar it sounds like something is rattling in there. Should i send it to ea?

All the tilt sensor is, is a metal ball with a contact inside the guitar

Curious when you download new songs for the game do you have to have the game in the system to play them?
Yes.

That's good to hear. The tilt sensor in my RB guitar is worthless; you have to press the button.

Do you have to be connected to live or signed in to play the new downloaded song?

You have to be signed in but you don't need to be connected via the internet. You just have to sign-in on the profile you dled the music with.

If its the same 360. If you connect your HD to another 360 thats NOT on the net you cant play your purchased music even if you sign in. One of the things I hate about RB/EA.

This is correct.

If you are playing on the system you DL'd the song on, you can play on or off of the net, and (I believe) with any profile on the machine.

If you are playing on a different system (you took your HD to a friends house or something) then you can still play the songs but you have to be logged onto LIVE and logged in with the account that downloaded the songs.

I hope my 360 never dies then. I downloaded a few songs with my old XBL account, but when I realized I couldn't sync my offline profile with my pre-existing live account I had to create new one. I'd only lose a few songs but it would still kind of suck.
