Was funny seeing Hershal shoot about 50 rounds out of his shotgun without having to reload. Dont those things only hold maybe 6 rounds? And im sure reloading is not super fast like a clip would be.

They showed him pulling shells from his right pocket and reloading as he shoots like one is supposed to do with a shotgun.

They've already announced who's going to be playing Michonne. Danai Gurira http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1775091/

The prison was a bit of a surprise. I was expecting something smaller for the TV show. What do you think it was, CGI? For next season do you think they are going to have one or two real buildings, and fill the background with CGI?

that seems a lot more likely than renting out an entire prison on their budget

I think everyone in this thread would be well served by reading a few zombie books this summer. I assign each of you to read Zombie Survival Guide, World War Z, and Day by Day Armageddon. This will be on the test.

how many spears do you see just laying around?

lol a a shovel handle from the barn and any metal filed down to a sharp point and lots of duct tape would do. they are stabbing zombies not fighting a roman legion so crude will do just fine.

Forget that.. this is a thread about the TV shows only.. take that reading crap elsewhere!

Right!

We need Walking Dead Sub-Forums:

1. TV Show Only;
2. Comics Only;
3. TV Show and Comics;
4. Books.

And then there is the mixing of books with the TV and/or Comics.

Then we need one for each of the four main time zones!

Who was the old woman? I thought she was Hershel's wife, but then I remembered his wife was in the barn. He didn't seem really affected knowing that she (old woman, not wife) died. Nice to see him sticking around - thought he was a goner.

Pretty good finale. Looks like they spent the entire season's budget in one episode...

That was Otis' wife if i remember right. Hershel's wife died before they ever got to the farm.

So this has probably been asked already, but...does the show follow the comics? I've only watched seasons 1 so far, and know about some things in the comics that I'm wondering if they are going to happen in the show?

Maybe he reloaded while we were looking elsewhere? ;)

AMC already announced who will play this Governor character, and it's not the guy who played Merle.

sorta.

similar elements and many of the broad plots are the same (eg: group leaves Atlanta and goes to a farm) but many of the specifics changed (in the books,
Carl kills Shane, Hershel doesn't get overrun at the farm until long after the main group left, etc
<-- book spoilers, not TV spoilers)

I think you still need a subforum for "no matter what this show is fail and here's why"

The compendium. It's the first 48 comics in one. http://www.amazon.com/The-Walking-De...dp/1607060760/

Just be aware that the compendium is a pretty big "book." It weighs about five pounds, and is around two inches thick. While that isn't exactly going to make you strain yourself to pick it up (if it does, you have other problems :p), it may get uncomfortable after awhile.

I own it, and just the thought of reading it makes me cringe a bit. I'm so used to smaller mangas or single issue comics.
