Ah nice, so we were right about what Jenner whispered to Rick -they are all infected. You cheating comic readers probably already knew that :hmm:

Yeah so any Season 3 predictions? How bout this one:

First half: The group finds sanctuary in the prison- its probably got a bunch of zombies inside they have to clear out first but otherwise they make a good home out of it.

Meanwhile Darryl searches the woods for Andrea... "Andrea?!?" *walks another 10 steps *ANDREA?!?!" for rest of first half

Second half: Another group of survivors attacks their prison compound led by Darryl's brother. Darryl vs his brother at the end. Darryl wins.

I wonder if Darryl will turn out to be that Governor guy I keep hearing about...

No, not just for me: For everyone who reads this thread who is not in the Eastern Time Zone. No one else has spoken up, but I would be shocked if I am the only other person in this thread who is not in the Eastern Time Zone.

Standard ATOT operating procedure is talk about the episode is fair game once it airs in the east. This is true over every TV show thread I have ever read.

Spoilers about what is coming up in the rest of the season go in the thread, but in spoiler tags.

There is also a cool book by JL BOurne called Day by Day Armageddon which has the same idea only even more amplified with huge throngs of zombies roaming and when they pass through a street its like a glacier swept by how they cratch everything up and scour the land

I'm waiting for the 3rd book in that series. I think it's been pushed back to like October. Why is publishing so slow?

yeah the way zombies respond to stimulus basically means they will always horde up.

WTF with the ninja zombie assassin. happy to see andrea saved tho, her char has been much better since they transformed her from an suicide emo woman.

i was expecting more main chars to die

i was expecting the group to stay separated as a cliff hanger

would have appreciated if they missed a shot once in a while

major basic planning fail to not have a designated spot to meet up at, tho it appears everyone had the same idea.

they definitely need to fortify their position and stock supplies. not just against zombie hordes but desperate humans as well. that was something that bothered me about the farm, but i guess they just had a false sense of security. now they know.

prison will be a good place to hole up, but a big enough horde will just climb over each other to breach the wall. they will need to figure out a way to clear out bodies. fire moat might work.

lori SUCKS. wtf are you doing if you arent hanging with your kid, especially in a situation where there might be an armed man on the premises. the reaction to shanes death was absurd too, she should know better than anyone else how dangerous he was.

1. The zombies should continue to decay until they do not have enough muscle to move. How they are still around this long in many areas is puzzling (aside from the obvious no zombies = no plot).

2. The wife should die. Her fetus should die for some reason, turn into a zombie, and kill her from inside. I really hate how they are playing her as so fickle. She is not exactly LIKABLE in the CB, but at least she has a bit more reason. This TV character is just horrible.

3. I had no idea that the waterfall was a prison.

4. Samurai Black Bitches FTW!!!!!! (BTW, that was a pretty good way to remesh the TV and CB story lines. I am curious what they will do next with some of the problems they had coming up in the CB as the characters and situation is different). It was cool that I just finished reading issue 18 when they had her appear in the show. Literally 30 seconds after seeing her, >slice<. :D

5. They have not explained, in the CB (by #19) or TV, how these guys can have the disease and not fall to it, but yet if they get bit they fall sooner. Maybe it is because the zombies are concentrated and it pushes the # of contaminants over the edge?

6. Rick is showing some balls, but he is turning into "angry guy" rather than a kind of Clint Eastwood character. I don't know if I like this.

7. They did not give you enough time to love the characters before they show them losing the farm. They just had a fight, killed Shane, killed that kid (Shane did it), dealt with problems and started to settle down again. While I did not like all the filler in the first half of the season, at least one episode could have been shifted over to make you feel like they were starting to get things work before the zombies came a-runnin'

8. OMG, I never knew these shootin' newbies could get headshots with pistols and rifles from moving vehicles, OFFROAD!!!!

9. Nobody cares about the "spoiler" post anymore. We all get it. If BOTH things happened, people did not post to "ruin" it AND the people who did not see it did not open posts on the thread, even when their E-mail says "hey, look at me!" we would not be wasting time yelling at each other over something that really does not matter anymore.

I am hoping things move well for 3 and we are not treated to a bad superposition of zombies and green screen flames.

Shouldn't the zombies start dying though? Given food is pretty much all gone and their bodies are probably falling apart by the minute.
theres no 'rules' for zombie lore, but they probably dont need sustenance to survive. excellent point about the bodies decaying, that should be a factor (and motivation for survivors just to outlast that process). it also makes the 'everyone is infected' twist even more brilliant, since the threat of another outbreak will always be there, even after the initial crop of zombies rots away.

Yeah I know! I was expecting it to be out already - I pre ordered it on Amazon. I think I already got 2 emails about it being delayed.

But if it means a better book in the end Im all for it :)

Just hope hes not slacking off

Yeah shes pretty crazy. Made me think of that game assassins creed the way she looks. Im pretty sure it's a she at least... feminine body and lips.

Yeah lol once they all left the farm in separate ways I was like oh man the episode is over already? Then I looked at the time bar and it was only like 33% way through the video then I was like damn they going to stretch out the separation even more?

And yeah Lori and Carl never cease to annoy me

Maybe Lori was getting off on the power struggle between Rick and Shane, and now that it finally reached the point of one killing the other she's distraught. Now she's gonna cozy up to some TDAWG!

it's definitely a huge plothole in just about every zombie book, movie, or tv show.

realistically, with no means of repairing their own tissue, they'd be falling apart and bursting with insects in weeks.

5. They have not explained, in the CB (by #19) or TV, how these guys can have the disease and not fall to it, but yet if they get bit they fall sooner. Maybe it is because the zombies are concentrated and it pushes the # of contaminants over the edge?

non-spoiler comic talk -- my guess is that they just don't have the means (knowledge, resources, opportunities) to research it. they're more focused on staying alive than finding a biological laboratory to run tests and figure out why the disease isn't infecting them. they don't happen to stumble across a microbiologist or something along the way.

It's not. The waterfall is just on a small dam to an anonymous pond.

The prison is way out beyond the forest in a clearing. It looks like its a good 30 minute hike from their current camp

Remember the two guys from the East Coast they killed in the bar a few episodes back?

Why the hell didn't they turn?

Oops.

Have you noticed that Rick's speech about being the leader and STFU sounded like Shane's? Rick even made the same intonations as Shane. I thought for a second that Rick was going crazy as an infection side effect :)

Yeah me too, I had the same feeling and thought the same thing - that the infection was creating this new aggression in Rick. but what about the rest of the crew?

I think he's starting to realize his leadership has been a bit lacking/loose and he's been a bit too naive and soft. I think it's bothering him about the farm ending and that they've just lost even more people and it's pissing him off that things keep going wrong time and time again. He probably sees that he needs to dial it up a couple notches in order to keep the rest of the, quickly dwindling, group alive.

Am I the only one that laughed at TDog's gangsta lean as he was driving that old truck running away from the zombie horde?

Seems to me that Rick's losing his shit.

Possibly.

Sounded more like an outburst of frustration to me, though, especially after everything that just happened recently.

Can't wait til Season 3 dang it! (hopefully Lori and Carl die soon, worst/most annoying characters on the show) haha

good ending.

still can't stand Lori. i hope the baby dies, turns, and kills her from the inside.

glad andrea made it out ok in the end. her character has come along pretty well.

i'm surprised that T-dawg made it out alive. he seriously adds nothing to the show. he somehow gains weight when food is scarce. he has no input on what the group does. but i guess if he died the NAACP would be pissed since he is the only black character in the show.

so this killer ninja zombie hunter or whatever, wouldn't she not want to make a bunch of noise with her being chained to two zombies?

my guess is that the random zombie walking around doesn't attract other zombies.

I don't know if this should be in spoilers since it was kinda shown on last night's episode, but in the comics
the zombies she has chained up have no jaws/tongues with which to make vocal noises
