The Walking Dead has more than twice the viewers.

But it's not their prized, network whore that wins the Emmy for best show or whatever multiple years in a row. It's their claim to fame too.

A show about zombies pretty much appeals to the broadest male spectrum possible, and they managed to screw it up...

Once Darabont was fired it was doomed to fail, and deservedly so perhaps.

Don't bring teeth  to a gun fight.

My apartment got a little dustier at the end of the episode though. Some got in my eyes. 🙁

That was a good episode. Shane was right though. He's a dirtbag, but he is right. It was crazy when Sophia walked out of the barn.

LOL

I didn't have a problem, except all of sudden at the end, my allegies picked up, you know running nose and.................................watery eyes. Just allergies.

Reasonably good episode. Could have done without 2 or 3 of the filler pieces before hand.

On the other hand, the ending was a let down given the multi-episode build up. So they spent like 5 episodes going after Sofia, and she's in the barn the whole time and dead.

Would have been better if they hadn't drug out looking for Sophia for 7 episodes.

She was a ninja zombie. Glenn looked into the barn and didn't see her. Patricia was feeding them chickens, and we didn't see her. Lastly Shane was looking into the barn and didn't see her. No one could see her until she attacked.

She didn't even have much time to get into the barn in the first place. They went to the farm the day after she disappeared. So she only had one day to get bit, die, come back as a zombie, stagger to the farm, and be placed inside. Busy day.

Hershel wanted them gone as soon as Carl was better and they found the girl. How could they have ever found her if she was in the barn? Hershel didn't think that through.

Seriously... She ran off, then they waited the one night before heading out, then Otis shoots the kid, and Otis dies the day after. Guess it happened right after Rick left her in the stream, and Otis found her, put her in the barn, and went out to go hunting?

Could be possible he was hoping they'd give up and leave.

Finally a decent episode though how many is there left for the season? What a waste... all that time for this? Please oh please don't ever find another farm or safe haven. After what I've seen so far, I'll be content if they just roam the countryside guns blazing.

Regarding the preview scene for the next episode (in February...):

The scene during 'Hell on Wheels' was a "conversation" between Shane, Rick, and Hershel. Hershel says that Otis took care of the barn and picked the people up, he never knew she was in there.

Wish I hadn't clicked on the Sophia spoiler pic a few weeks back. I knew what was coming at the end of this episode so it didn't do much for me. Still a good episode though.

Well if they follow the comic, they do find a another "safe haven". But I was hoping they would have gotten to that place in season 2 because honestly, it is where things get good.

man that was a great shoot out in the end eh? surprised how many zombies were in there. must have had to feed them dozens of chickens

What I was wondering as I watched the episode was how exactly do they get the zombies in the barn? Here they are leading two of them, hissing and scratching, by the neck on somewhat flimsy poles meant for dogs. Ok, I'll go with that. But once they get to the barn, now what?

Open the front doors? And what about the dozen or so already in the barn? Doubt they're climbing up the side of the barn while dragging a 150lb zombie behind them.

That was awesome. That whole scene was the best of the show so far. I loved how Glenn looked to his new love to get the okay before he joined in the shooting, lol.

They stated that during the show also. When the boy fell with the zombie Hershel mentioned that Otis got the dead.

I thought the episode was really good because of the ending. Only when Sophia came out did the group realize why Hershel kept his love ones alive. It took Rick to do the job that even Shane hesitated to do.

refresh my memory, who was the woman feeding the chickens to the zombies in the barn?

**EDIT: I think she’s Otis’s widow? but where in the hell has she been? i thought she was the crazy blond chick that is trigger happy.

Who's the kid that went with Hershel and Rick out to do zombie catching, while we're at it...

One of the people that were at the farm when the group arrived.

They had him a bit I believe last episode but other then that I had commented also that I don't remember him and another girl they showed as it seemed like the first time seeing them.
