Gotta say I'm losing interest week by week with them dragging out the issues of all the women and not, ya know, the zombies - I mean it's a friggen apocalypse, yet the women still seem to think their own little dramas are a bigger issue... wtf. I was gung-ho coming into this season too.

Also didn't know they were stopping for a mid-season break... hate when they do that with shows. Having a rather lackluster first half makes it even worse, and after this last episode I'm starting to think it might get moved to the Lifetime channel.

George Costanza when talking to NBC execs about The Walking Dead, Season 2: "No! No! NO! Nothing happpens!"

Wow.. THIS.
<in Jerry's apartment Jerry and George talking>
George: How about we have the little girl get lost
< kramer busts in>
Kramer: Did I hear something about a missing little girl?
Jerry: No, i'm just helping George here figure out what he's gon'a pitch the NBC execs tomorrow
Kramer: Woh, that's a bit deal: what've you got so far
George: Just a missing girl..
Kramer:< interrupting > Well that's it!
Jerry: What's "it"?
Kramer: That's it... it's supposed to be scary right?
Jerry: well yea
Kramer: What's more scary than just BEFORE something happens?
Jerry: Yea, but then you end up just doing nothing
Kramer: Exactly!
George: Ok, so what you're saying is if I want it to be scary then we lose the girl and then do nothing?
Jerry: That's supid
Kramer: NO! It's genius! It's just that no-one's thought to do it yet!
Jerry: Yea! because it's stupid.
George: Well let's keep working on other things.
<something interrupts that keeps George up all night, distracted, so he comes up with nothing new>

I don't know why they want to stay on that farm so bad when there are two million abandoned farms to chose from. They'd be better off with Hershel as their neighbor instead of their landlord.

But he's a veterinarian!

If Lori took the morning after pills would she have a zombie fetus in her?

I'm watching the yesterday's episode now. I just realized I'm annoyed by everyone in the show. I watch it just because of the plot, which hasn't been all that great either.

Exactly this. I'll stick with shows that have a less than stellar plot just because I like the characters (Lost, for instance). With Walking Dead, there's not a single character I like, just ones that I dislike less than the others. Everybody is so frikkin' bitchy. I guess maybe that's an accurate representation of what would happen in a Zombie apocalypse, but it doesn't make good TV.

Next week better be one HELL of a good show, or I think AMC risks losing lots of viewers over the hiatus.

Another disappointing episode.

It's really such a shame, they have made such awesome sets and zombies, and they squander it with irritating or boring characters and drag these uninteresting subplots far too long.

You know those "Titanic in 5 seconds" clips on youtube floating around for all sorts of movies? How would you even try to fill 5 seconds to sum up Season 2 of walking dead so far? It would be a few frames of Carl getting shot, then wakes up and asks where's what's-her-face-mising-girl and then the mom replies "I'm pregnant" before scarfing down some abortion pills. Thats only like 3 seconds...

You forgot

Daryl
having his Apocalypse Now moment in the riverbed, then almost having his face shot in because he shambled in to camp looking like a walker

Glenn
going down the well, getting laid in a pharmacy, discovering ZOMBIES IN DA BARN!!!, going to the pharmacy again only there's a zombie c*$@blocker there now(but really why would you have sex in a place where if you're doing it right your grunts, squeals and moans might bring around walkers looking for a snack)

Andrea
finally showing that she does have the ability that she displays in the comics, oh and the crotch grab was epic... if only things like that where always that easy for the guys eh?

adding those in might cover the other 2 seconds.

Ya, characters are very meh. The dude and his kid from the pilot would have made good characters. The Asian kid and grandpa are the most interesting of the bunch. Rick hasn't been doing much lately... Shane's a piece of shit.

Yeah that's the dude from the show Jericho! He's the man, and would have been a great character in this show. I guess he took one look at the rest of the cast he'd have to work with everyday and said nuh uh!!!

The show Falling Skies also has some interesting characters- far more interesting than this show. Like Pope, the general and the main character (the teacher) would have all been good characters

Morning after pills are emergency contraception, not an abortifacient. Once an embryo has implanted (triggering a positive pregnancy test), she might as well have taken a megadose of vitamin C.

Andrea just grabs Shane's crotch the first time they are alone together, and Rick doesn't care that his wife had sex with his best friend. You can tell that episode was written by a woman.

That is what I was thinking... It prevents implantation, correct?

You only have a few days. That is WHY it is called the "morning after" pill.....

Yep:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Walking_Dead_(season_2)

written by: Angela Kang

episode 3 was epic, what with the killing, and was written by the same guy that's written the mid-season finally, as such I have high expectations.

If you look at how many viewers the show had for the week you'll notice that it's a reflection of how good the previous episode was. Episode 3 was the only one to reverse the blood-letting we're seeing.

My prediction is that this last episode of the fall-season is going to be the worst rated but will lead into a rally in Feb .

btw here's what happened to our show:

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/walking-dead-what-happened-fired-221449
"Frank doesn't like to see the cast and crew overworked and underpaid," says a show insider. As recently as the end of May, with the show's second season poised to go into production, Darabont seemed to be holding out hope that AMC would relent. "Creatively, I have no complaints thus far," he said at a THR roundtable. "But I believe if they do move ahead with what they're talking about, it will affect the show creatively … in a negative way. Which just strikes me as odd. If you have an asset, why would you punish it?"
...
What remains a central mystery, even to those closely involved, is what triggered AMC's move to fire Darabont. As noted, AMC's decision to cut the budget dated to the previous fall, when the network instructed Darabont to produce 13 episodes for a second season, up from six for the first season, for less money. Not only would the show get a lower budget, but AMC also decided that Walking Dead would no longer reap the benefit of a 30 percent tax credit per episode that came with filming in Georgia. Now the network was going to hold on to that money.
AMC TV is about to go-public as a spin-off corp and it wants the books all nice and pretty before investors throw-in.

So it's siphoning money from stars in-order to green-wash the books. My prediction: AMC will be running wrestling by the fall of 2014.

Make double the number of episodes with less. Who woulda guessed. Seriously, if this was just a 6 episode run, I think it could have been good.

Not unless a zombie worked his way to the baby when it was still alive.

Well the thought is they are all already infected, and if they happen to die they become Zombie's anyhow.... But I doubt a baby Zombie would be much of a problem...
