Gah! forgot to record this. sumbitch.

I'll have to check and see if it's ON Demand or something...or maybe in 12 reruns throughout the week, as AMC is want to do..

Literally every single program on network or cable television has 1/3 commercials every hour. Literally every single one. Without exception.
I don't know why some people get their panties in a twist over commercials on some programs... people used to criticize Lost for it all the time, but without fail, every single hour-long drama is 42-44 minutes when you download the torrent.

I heard the first episode was pretty epic. I sure wish we were getting it up here. :(

The only reason people point them out on shows like Lost and this one is because the shows are just so tense and suspensful, that when it cuts to commercial it is just so much more annoying. This is why I can only watch tv show's when I have enough DVR'd that I can skip them completely.

I didn't think it really was that good but I'll definitely keep watching it to see how it turns out.

It's like a new zombie movie, every week!
the comic books were originally sold to me as a zombie movie that never ends.... there's no fade-out moment where you get to walk away hoping that everything is ok.

they deal with a lot of the major psychological issues associated with spending every day shooting your friends and neighbors in the head, which I thought was pretty awesome (especially from the POV of the kids)

I thought it was interesting in the first episode how they tried to "humanize" the zombies... especially given how most movies just treat them as cannon fodder. The euthanasia of the half-Zombie when he was leaving his hometown was a rather interesting scene.

watched it last night on the DVR. Thought it was really well done and I'll definitely be watching it weekly.

Unfortunately, I'll be watching it alone as the wife is not into anything "scary." She managed to make it about halfway through the show, but kicked me out of the bedroom to go watch in the tv room when
they tell the boy he can go get changed in the other room around the corner in the police station - my wife was convinced he was zombie food at that point

Direct TV doesn't have AMC HD, this sucks.

Son of a... I watched it last night at my gf's place and she has Comcast. It never occurred to me that my recordings at home (DirecTV) would be in standard def. WTF DTV? Comcast should never have an HD channel that DTV does not!

I was very pleased with the first ep, it does justice to the comic series so far. I agree that the radio communication at the very end was quite funny.

I like it, but I hope that the source material gets a little more original from here on out. I've read a lot of zombie books and I'm not seeing it break much new ground yet.

watched it today, thought it was really good.

didn't even realize that the wife and son was the main cops until I read this thread.

i also didn't really understand the very end... were they just letting us know someone saw him get into the tank?

You had to catch a few second clip of a picture the main character has of his family posted in the sun visor of his car; it's the wife and kid the other guy was just with.

Letting us know there are other people alive in the city I guess. Too bad the tank is assumed dead/disabled. Might be a bit over the top if he takes it for a ride though.

Also hope they bring back the guy and his son.

I thought that's who it was... but is the other guy in the camp (who was kissing her) the (coma) cop's partner? I was too lazy to try to go back and look.

yeah. And that's 90% of what I'm referring to when I say "way too much drama."

I agree 100%. As soon as I saw that girl with the kid and then the partner getting cozy with her I got annoyed. I knew it was going to be the original cop's wife and that was so cliche/hackneyed that is just drove me nuts.

Just watched it with the lady friend. WOW. Well done. Not worried about it breaking new zombie-ground at this point. It's really the first zombie-series, and other than this there aren't really any horror-series on tv right now (say true blood and I'll feed you to a walker)

Didn't his wife move on pretty quickly....even with a zombie apocalypse?
