The teacher happened to have the exact same calculator I bought on Amazon! XD

Also, we were doing math problems and I was solving a percentage equation like this: what is 7% of 539.

I solved the problem by dividing 539 by 100 then multiply by the percentage, the teacher said he never seen someone do that before but the answers were right.

That is the EXACT correct definition of percentage. Percent = per cent = per 100 = divide by 100

There are 100 cents in a dollar. There are 100 years in a CENTury.

You did it just right. Just in a different order than many other people do. Most others multiply by 7 then divide by 100. But the result is the same since you can always swap the order of multiplication and division.

Sine Cosine and Tangent, ahh such memories.

No make sure you know how to use it. Not just for fractions, because not everything is in freedom units, alot are also in heathen units.

You need to know how to enter the equations to get the correct answer.

Ok so I noticed the calculator doesn't have a = sign for algebra, I'm not 100% sure but I think I remember my classmate's calculator did have a = sign.

The app I was using below did have a = sign, maybe there's a way to put in the = sign that I haven't figured out yet, there's a bunch of other buttons.

If I can't figure out how to put the = sign I might buy a different calculator and give this one away.

Look in the manual. The very best calculators are rpn, and have no [=], but I'd be very surprised if that was rpn. I thought that was exclusive to hp, but I could be wrong.

IF you teacher has same one, ASK your teacher. I mean how much was that 20 or so bucks maybe more or at least not free and you'll give it away?

Look dude, I was in a Ford as in FMC apprenticeship for Millwright. Had to take Technical Physics. I honestly did kinda slide by on the Algebra 1 and 2. (Didn't see the need) Yes I got paid to goto school. whatevs.

So this physics teacher in the first days, trying too get to know all the people as a teacher should. This MFer calls me out in front of the whole class, that I was being paid to be in the classroom, and all I needed to do was skate through with at least a C. At that point it became GAME ON.

So peter teach wouldn't help me with the equations, because I should have learned them in the previous 2 math classes.

Told that effer to his face I will get an A and he could eff off.

So I had to have a graphing calculator, and I got in with other students who knew how to use it, then I continued to press myself. (Side note, this was when Hale-Bopp comet was discovered) Any way, I learned the calculator so well in order to reduce the paperwork of the equations.

I eventually had other students coming to me to learn how to solve the equations, using my shortcuts to get the correct answer every time.

Learn that device, and how the equals sign in algebra works. Sorry to say you can do all but i think graphing on a cell phone calc. Probably apps that would do the graphing,

I just bought this one because I was worried it was going to go off sale if I waited to long, it was 42% off. I'm either going to send the other one back or give it to one of my classmates.

The calculator was delivered incredibly fast!

Also the calculator has everything I want, = sign fractions and parentheses.

I'm having trouble finding the greater than and less than buttons on this calculator, I'm not 100% sure but I think on the box of the calculator it's showcasing the < > signs, or maybe this is something else. I tried looking at the manual but it's pretty confusing. This pre algebra workbook I have has these symbols.

I assume you looked in the manual?

What do you even need all this shit for? This isn't for construction, so what are you doing?

I already said I'm my post that I looked in the manual but it was confusing.

And I'm just trying to get better at math, so I bought this pre-algebra workbook.

Here is the manual:

You want to get better at math, do it without calculator. Or use an app. You are not allowed to use phone only in your class.
