I got a phone interview today for a position. I haven't had any direct contact with the company other than this phone interview and when I submit my resume online so I'm hoping this thank you letter will help me stick out.

Edit: New letter a few posts down
Dear Mr. Interviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to speak with me about the PC Support Specialist position with YourCompany. I am confident that my past work experiences have adequately prepared me to preform the duties the position requires. I am excited about the possibility to work at YourCompany for a number of reasons. I look forward to the possibility of learning all about your computing environment, all of my IT experience thus far has been in an educational environment and I am excited about experiencing something different. I feel I am strong in working in a team and look forward to working with new people. I am also looking for a position that is in a faster paced environment and I think a Support position at YourCompany will fill that goal. Finally, I am searching for a place that I can work at that will offer room for me to expand as I become more skilled, something not possible at my current place of work.

I look forward to hearing from you more about the position. Again, thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Myself

Thanks for the help!

Say something to make him remember you. Say thank you. 2-3 sentences.

Better, IMO. Check your spelling, though.

A thank you letter should be no more than a thank you letter. There's a reason it's called a "thank you" letter and not a "post-interview-things-I-should-have-said-during-but-didn't" letter.

Dear Interviewer,

Thanks. I'd put more here, but we both know how fucking awesome I am. I'm confident you're smart enough to have given me the job. See you Monday.

Peace,
A-Train

IMO it's too general. You should incorporate some specific examples from your experience or something you talked about during your interview. Otherwise the interviewer will just skim it and think it's a form letter you printed out.

Then he's back to the original.
