EDIT:Here is the full leaked NY Times Times Article that will appear this Sunday.

The New York Times will run an extensive article on Ron Paul this Sunday 7/22.
Here's a little from the NY Times Website:

By CHRISTOPHER CALDWELL

Whipping westward across Manhattan in a limousine sent by Comedy Central?s "Daily Show," Ron Paul, the 10-term Texas congressman and long-shot Republican presidential candidate, is being briefed. Paul has only the most tenuous familiarity with Comedy Central. He has never heard of "The Daily Show." His press secretary, Jesse Benton, is trying to explain who its host, Jon Stewart, is. "He?s an affable gentleman," Benton says, "and he?s very smart. What I?m getting from the pre-interview is, he?s sympathetic."

Paul nods.

"GQ wants to profile you on Thursday," Benton continues. "I think it?s worth doing."

"GTU?" the candidate replies.

"GQ. It?s a men?s magazine."

"Don?t know much about that," Paul says.

Thin to the point of gauntness, polite to the point of daintiness, Ron Paul is a 71-year-old great-grandfather, a small-town doctor, a self-educated policy intellectual and a formidable stander on constitutional principle.

I am having a hard time locating your original thought/commentary on this thread.

Your opinions of Ron Paul have continually been expressed; another thread just to demonstrate such, is not required.

Ron Paul stands no chance.

And it simple demographics.

Those over 40 have a control over the outcome of elections because of these demographics.

Being anti-medicare is the 100% sure-fire way to get the vast majority of those over 40 to vote against you.

Those that support Ron Paul are just wasting their time. There are more efficent uses of your time and money.

Thats just how it is. Rep. Paul's stances on certain issues are to extreme. Medicare is a major issue. It really should be one of the biggest, but he needs to temper his stances on many issues if he wants to get much traction in the primaries.

Ron Paul is right on the war and right on fiscal responsibility but he sealed his coffin by marrying himself to the nutjob Fundies. He's even said that the Founding Fathers never wanted a wall of separation between church and state.

Sorry...he's too far off his rocker to be considered viable.

I think what you mean to say is that Ron Paul is retarded. He is as much a candidate as Ralph Nader was back in the day.

I thought you guys were supposed to spam boards with GOOD things about him. Y'know, things that would dupe someone into voting for him.
